Operations Supervisor – Vancouver
We are working with one of Canada’s most highly regarded real estate owners of office and retail who manage award winning real estate holdings across Canada and consist of A class office and retail properties. They are looking for an Operations Supervisor to manage the operations team for a large mixed used property in Vancouver. You will provide strong leadership skills to the team and bring a wealth of knowledge and experience in commercial building operations. To succeed in this role you must understand that operations management is not just about ensuring the mechanical building systems run smoothly and efficiently, it’s also about building relationships with your team, vendors, tenants and clients. Oversee and lead a team of operations staff, including professional development, mentoring and coaching
Be involved in the growth of the team and hiring of new employees
Schedule and assign work and ensuring completion of tasks
Perform inventory management
Assist with the operating and capital budgets
Produce corporate reporting
Ensure Health and Safety guidelines are adhered to
Obtain quotations from contractors and oversee their work
Manage the preventative maintenance program
A 4th Class Power Engineering ticket is mandatory
Proven leadership skills with 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role in commercial property operations
Strong experience with all types of buildings systems and regulations
Strong communication and negotiation skills
The ability to delegate tasks, problem solve, work with members of senior management, think critically and work collaboratively
The ability to effectively organize and prioritize task to achieve goals and objectives
