Live-In Building Manager - Vancouver

Are you a talented Building Manager with at least 3 years’ experience in managing a high-end residential building? Our client is a long established family owned company who own and manage residential properties across the Lower Mainland and they have a new opening for a Building Manager for one of their high-end properties. This is a great opportunity to work for a company who focus on the level of service they provide to tenants and offer a collaborative team environment. You will work closely with the Property Manager in providing services to keep the building operating smoothly while providing a first class level of service to tenants.

You Will:

  • Manage incoming queries from prospective and current tenants about leasing space in the property and provide tours of the building and suites

  • Assist with marketing activities for the property to attract new tenants

  • Check references for prospective tenants

  • Manage lease documentation including move-in and move-out inspection reports, leases, parking and storage notices

  • Collect rents and deposit to bank account

  • Provide reporting to various departments including items related to service requests, expenses, building incidents and requisitions

  • Monitor the building conditions and proactively manage small repairs to ensure property is maintained well

  • Undertake minor repairs and managing the preventative maintenance program

  • Arrange for more in depth repairs to be completed by trades and contractors when required

  • Manage safety and security of the building including control of access cards, keeping property well maintained and monitoring visitors

You Have:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position within residential building management

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to create and maintain good relationships with tenants

  • A very strong customer service ethic

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Great judgment when resolving issues

  • A keen eye for detail and excellent organizational skills

  • Good skills in all aspects of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Powerpoint)
