Live-In Assistant Building Manager – West Vancouver

Do you have at least 1 years’ experience in assisting in the management of a residential property? Would you like to work for a long established family owned company who manage high end residential properties across the Lower Mainland, living in one of their beautiful properties? Our client have a new opening for an Assistant Building Manager for one of their residential properties in Vancouver, where you will be working closely with the Property Manager and the Building Managers in providing services to keep the building operating smoothly.

You Will:

  • Ensure the property is kept clean and well maintained including the common areas, grounds and suites that are vacant awaiting new tenants

  • Maintain and monitor access to common areas during their opening hours including the swimming pool and laundry room

  • Perform minor repairs to the property to keep it in good order and monitor trades and contractors who may also be required to be on site to perform more major repairs

  • Respond quickly to service requests from tenants and managers

  • Provide reporting to various departments including items related to service requests, expenses, building incidents and requisitions

  • Manage safety and security of the building including control of access cards, keeping property well maintained and monitoring visitors

  • Cover for the Building Manager in their absence when required including leasing, dealing with prospective tenant enquiries, lease documentation, suite inspections, rent collections and deposits

You Have:

  • A minimum of 1 years’ experience in a similar position within residential building management

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to create and maintain good relationships with tenants

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Great judgment when resolving issues

  • A keen eye for detail and excellent organizational skills

  • Good skills in all aspects of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Powerpoint)
