Operations Supervisor – Lower Mainland

Our client is a highly regarded property owner who has an impressive portfolio of commercial properties totaling around 25 million square feet across Canada. They have an opening for an Operations Supervisor to be responsible for managing the maintenance and smooth running of a portfolio of commercial buildings across the Lower Mainland.

You Will:

  • Manage a team of building operatives to ensure they are providing good performance in maintaining the smooth function of a portfolio of commercial properties

  • Oversee and renew contracts with third party suppliers as and when the contracts require assessment

  • Manage budgets for services and materials and ensure adequate stocks are maintained

  • Perform building inspections and provide monthly reporting

  • Assist with annual operating budget planning

  • Ensure all equipment is well maintained and serviced

  • Comply with all health and safety procedures and guidelines

  • Deal with tenant inquiries

  • Provide on call emergency cover as and when required

You Have:

  • At least 5 years’ maintenance experience in commercial buildings operations

  • A first aid certification and a good understanding of health and safety procedures

  • A valid driving license and own vehicle

  • Good knowledge of maintenance tasks and building systems

  • Outstanding relationship building and communication skills

  • Ability to perform sometimes physically demanding tasks in varying weather conditions
