Operations Assistant – Vancouver

We are working with a successful Vancouver based Property Management Company who are looking to expand their team due to the growth of their portfolio. They manage a large portfolio of office, retail, industrial and residential properties across BC and are hiring an Operations Assistant to assist the Operations team with new projects, portfolio acquisitions and day to day operations. The company offers a great working culture and is very team focused and collaborative.

You Will:

  • Work with senior managers on new build projects, building acquisitions and day to day operations activities

  • Attend project meetings, take minutes and produce information

  • Manage and maintain change requests and provide information on project costs and details

  • Work with consultants on requests for data and information

  • Review project invoicing and billing for accuracy

  • Provide project progress updates to senior managers on a regular basis

  • Perform administrative and organizational tasks related to new building acquisitions including setting up IT infrastructure (emails, telephone) and contacting building suppliers with new information

  • Liaise with property managers and operations staff regarding the running of existing portfolio including providing communications regarding operations activities

  • Maintain existing information repositories with new information

  • Provide general administrative support as requested in relation to the role

You Have:

  • A minimum of 2 years in a similar position within a construction or property management environment

  • Effective time management skills and keen attention to detail

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with a high level of professionalism

  • The ability to work under pressure, deal with multiple deadlines, effectively handle stressful situations, deal intuitively with situations and work with minimal direction/supervision

  • Excellent customer service and relationship building skills

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
